| caffeinesnort | Dec 13, 2004 2:53am | | i've read about that toddy thing and have been wondering about it. i'll probably try it with making my own makeshift version (one day) since it might be hard to find here. if it's any good, i bet it'll be really awesome with french coffee, my favorite (luckily i live in france) :-) -- sort of a sidebar: a chef once told me that france gets the best of the best coffee because it's has the highest consumer consumption, so they they get top pickings. (probably something like japan getting the best green tea) ok. enuf rambling from me. |

Bitter_or_Better_Future_for_Coffee_Producers_.html
More on topic: I'd never even heard of cold brewing until I read this post. Having subsequently researched it, it seems worth a try. The cold brewing sites I browsed implied that freshly roasted coffee beans are necessary for this method of roasting. So, I doubt if cold brewing would ever become a regular thing with me.
Then again, I like the bitterness of very strong coffee. I typically brew coffee in a french press precisely for that reason. |
