I think people who drink starbucks coffee aren't actually real coffee drinkers. They just like to look the part. It is over roasted and terrible tasting. The first time I bought a cup because I wanted a cup of coffee and that was the closest place to get it, I thought they had left the pot sitting all day.

Here's the deal....

I am a coffee junkie....I mean JUNKIE.
1. I'll agree, Starbucks drip coffee is not good BUT!!!! they pull a hell of an espresso shot.
2. Caribou has an ok drip coffee but can't pull a shot to save their lives...
3. Both Caribou and Starbucks beans for home use can be (and most often is) a crap shoot. Find a local roaster for home use, I am an Intellegenstia fanatic, fresh roasted beans makes the diff.

Please don't generalize all coffee drinkers and "chain" providers.

ok, off my soap box.

Thanks for the link PixelPig. I just bought a pound of the Black Cat Espresso Blend from that intelligentsia site. I love good espresso but can't find enough people to point me to different ones. I can't wait to try it!

I have been ordering the Hair Bender blend from stumptowncoffee.com [stumptowncoffee.com] if anyone else wants a good one to try!! I love it. :)

A local roaster where I get my coffee, they roast to order and ship.

I used to drink it at their cafe, but nowadays they are trying way too hard to be like Starbuck's, so I just vacuum-bottle it.
